Ajax scan

The Ajax scan option controls how the program reacts on barcode input via a scanner:

If this option is enabled (this is the recommended setting), after a scan a window displaying the scan results will be opened in the lower part of the screen, and will be closed after a waiting period. This is implemented by a complex JavaScript routine which might not work with every web browser.

If disabled, the whole page will reload after a scan, and will reload again after the waiting period has expired. This will work with every browser. The problem is that, if someone scans his barcode while the program is about to reload the page, the scan might get lost.
